Dan Nicksy, M.A.Sc., EIT

Dan is a member of the Engineering Team at Endura Energy, focusing on computer simulation and analysis of utility-scale ground-mount and commercial scale rooftop solar PV projects.

Dan joined Endura Energy in 2014 after receiving his Masters of Applied Science (M.A.Sc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Queen’s University, where he specialized in Applied Sustainability.  He previously received a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Engineering Physics at Queen’s University.  Prior to joining Endura full-time, Dan worked at Santa Maria Foods as an Engineering Intern charged with risk assessment, analysis, and mitigation for a plant-wide refrigeration system.  He also worked at Howe Gastmeir Chapnik Ltd. as an engineering consultant focused on noise and vibration assessment and mitigation.

Throughout his time at Queen’s, Dan’s coursework focused on renewable energy.  He earned a Master of Applied Sustainability in conjunction with his M.A.Sc.  His thesis work focused on the development of technology for producing a carbon-neutral thermal fuel from waste wood products which can be used as a substitute for coal in traditional energy generation, cement production, and steel manufacturing industries.
